I wish I were in Tulsa, Oklahoma, eating a $1,100 cheeseburger. Sure, the four-digit airfare is a bit hard to stomach, but warm, gooey cheese makes a mighty fine cushion, especially when it’s dripping from a slab of beef the size of your hand.
Village Burger is a jewel of a find, down a nowhere road I never expected would yield such beefy goodness — a cheeseburger that ties for my #1 favorite.
Airport hotels are notoriously slummy, but Comfort Suites Airport in Nashville was a pleasant surprise. This 94-room property, built in 1995, is a gem in the Choice Hotels chain, and it’s my new favorite place to stay in Nashville. It’s easily accessible to I-40. Nashville International Airport is only 1.5 miles away.
